Abortion Story #264: Alexis’ story

Roar will publish a first-person story about abortion, “My Abortion: A Daily Story,” every day for at least 365 days. The following is the opening excerpt of Alexis’ story about ending a wanted pregnancy. She opens up about not regretting her decision about abortion, despite it being a painful one for her to make. Read her complete story that was published as an op ed in the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

It would deny women like Alexis and others in need of care later in pregnancy the ability to make these deeply personal decisions. Despite federal appeals courts finding similar proposals unconstitutional, HR 36 may next get a vote in the US Senate. See how each representative voted online here.
